Visitor notice

Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the ever changing current restrictions we are unable to offer our usual events programme but you can still visit us with your family. Our gardens and the building are open – plan your visit and book tickets if you’d like to come inside Ordsall Hall.

We’ve added some Tudor themed activities for you to do at home so you can bring Ordsall Hall to you – we’d love to see photos of your makes!

Our number one priority is the safety of your children and planning is underway to ensure we are able to offer fun and exciting activities during October half term! Follow us on social media or join our mailing list so you don’t miss out.

  • Make a Pennon – a pennon is a personal flag – use our template to make one and pretend to be a knight! Download the template and instructions.
  • Soap ball and Scent Bag – if you’ve visited us before you may well have made one of these scented items. Use leftover soap at home to make a soap ball or dried flowers from the garden to make a scent bag.
