Confirmation of your booking

Once you have made your booking via completing our enquiry form at the top of this page, we will send you a confirmation letter. You can also download a copy of our risk assessment for your records.

Cancelling your booking

If you need to cancel your session please let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel with less than two weeks notice you will be charged 50% of the cost of the session.

Arriving at Ordsall Hall

We can provide limited coach parking facilities. Details will be sent out at the time of booking.

If you have booked a tour or session, you should aim to arrive as close to the start time as possible. We may be unable to provide the whole service if you are late.

Please don’t arrive too early as the building may not be open (if before 10.00am) or another group may be using the building. If you have any problems on the day, please phone the museum on 0161 872 0251 and we will do our best to resolve any potential difficulties.

Teachers are responsible for their class at all times and must stay with the class for the whole of the session on both guided and self-guided visits.

Facilities

We allow an hour for lunch and have a room where your class can eat their packed lunches. If the weather is suitable you are also welcome to picnic in our grounds. During lunch you may wish to take your class outside to explore, or visit the exhibition on the first floor which isn’t used in our session.

Shop

We have a small shop within the Hall with a good range of souvenirs and plenty of items at pocket money prices. You are more than welcome to visit in small groups or you can pre-order some items for your class when you book your visit.
