Learn more about early modern textiles and try your hand at recreating some of the techniques!
During this drop-in session we will be discussing 16th and 17th century bedding textiles, including linens, embroidery, mattress materials and wool using research from the Sleeping Well team at the University of Manchester.
Whilst finding out what the team have uncovered, have a go at crewel embroidery on linen or wool crafts such as wet felting and spinning with a drop spindle.
Learn more about the Sleeping Well project.
The length of this workshop allows for in-depth exploration and creativity, plus more time to look at the historical evidence behind our sleep project.
FREE, drop-in. No booking required.
