Join Anna Fielding, our Sleeping Well project lead at Ordsall Hall, to explore how dried herbs were used during the early modern period in bedding to promote sleep, ward off bedbugs, and keep mattresses fresh and sweet-smelling.
Using a selection of lavender, rose, hops, chamomile, lady’s bedstraw and flax seed, you will be able to stuff & sew your own pillows before adorning them with an embroidered flax flower motif.
No prior experience necessary and all materials will be provided.
FREE, booking required.
Suitable for ages 16 years +.
