Rhyme and Sound Trail

Come and explore the house and gardens this summer with our Rhyme & Sound Trail which has been inspired by the theme of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge: Read to the Beat.

As you follow the trail, you’ll discover percussion instruments/sound experiences placed around the grounds – feel free to play them and create your own rhythms!

Each stop features a nursery rhyme linked to the sounds or instruments you find along the way. Can’t remember the tune? Don’t worry, you can enjoy the rhymes by reading them as poems instead.

The trail will be available during the Hall’s opening hours the throughout school summer holidays. From 20th July to 30th August. Monday to Thursday, 10:00am – 4:00pm and Sundays 11:30am – 4:00pm We are closed Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays.

Suitable for ages 0-7 years.

Trails cost £2 per participating child and can be purchased on arrival at Ordsall Hall reception desk.
