Take a ‘masterclass’ tour of Ordsall Hall led by Dr Peter N. Lindfield Lecturer in History at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The tour will look at and explain Ordsall Hall’s architecture and decoration from the Tudor and Victorian periods, and it finishes by explaining the significance of the ‘Radclyffe Bed’ housed in the Hall’s Star Chamber. The bed combines genuine Tudor fragments with Victorian additions, and the looks at how Victorian antiquaries salvaged and recreated the past.
