Following the government’s announcement on 26 November, the Greater Manchester region, of which we are a part, has been placed in the strictest level of restrictions, Tier 3. This means, that in line with the guidelines, museums and art galleries are unable to open.

So, it’s with a heavy heart that we can confirm that unfortunately our doors will remain closed until further notice. Behind the scenes we are continuing to do all we can to welcome you back safely when we are able to do so.

This is devastating news for us and we’re disappointed we’re unable to re-open and offer tours of the hall, strolls around the gardens and of course a cup of tea or coffee in our café.

Our team have worked hard to make the hall a COVID secure environment for our visitors and after the last lockdown, it was great to see so many visitors back, enjoying a safe visit to the hall. It is hard to take this closure, but we understand and accept the need for these measures to help control the spread of infection at this time.

We rely on the support and generosity of our visitors, friends, supporters and the local community and this is now more important than ever. The hall may be closed currently, but we are always open for your support.
