Explore various 16th and 17th century lighting options with Dr Anna Fielding and Professor Sasha Handley
From dipped waxberry candles to tallow rush lights, oil lamps, and lanterns, visitors will be able to see and touch unlit examples of various historical lighting sources. There will also be opportunity to watch dipped beeswax candles being made.
This will be an informal, hands-on session designed for older children and adults.
Please note this session not suitable for younger children and there is no take home element.

- The museum has a private Pay & Display car park. All parking is paid for on arrival either online, over the phone or by using the onsite machine.
