We are excited to welcome Paperback Theatre to Ordsall Hall for the very first time!
A special reimagining of a classic! “I’m not Dorothy, I’m Dot. Like a decimal point. A full stop. Dot.” Dot just wants everyone to shut up and leave her alone. Sick of her annoying new foster family she longs to be somewhere else, somewhere far away, somewhere over the rainbow…
Paperback Theatre’s new adaptation of The Wizard of Oz brings the classic well-loved story bang-up-to-date. Whether it’s brains, heart or courage you want, this action-packed adventure has got you covered. So strap into your ruby slippers for a saunter down the yellow brick road.
Gates will open at 6:00pm and the performance will begin at 7:00pm. Our café will be open for non-alcoholic drinks, along with a selection of light snacks.
Appropriate for ages 5+.

Outdoor Theatre programme 2025
We are hosting a fantastic programme of outdoor theatre in the grand setting of our spectacular Grade I Listed Manor House throughout Summer.
- The performance will be taking place outside rain or shine, so please come dressed for the weather. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, blankets, snacks and refreshments. Please note that we do not allow umbrellas as these can block the view for others.
- The museum has a private Pay & Display car park. All parking is paid for on arrival either online, over the phone or by using the onsite machine.
