Ordsall Hall’s Digital British Sign Language Tour

Enjoy a digital tour of Ordsall Hall in British Sign Language by using the Smartify app.

‘How to’ video

With a stop in every room, presenter Wayne Sharples will guide you around the building and bring you closer to the history of the Hall and it’s residents, as well as facts about life in the Tudor period.

You can download the tour in advance, or just scan the code when you visit us. While the tour has been created for use while you visit, you are very welcome to watch it in advance.

Signing hands symbol

You can follow the tour in the order it appears on the app or if you prefer a more casual approach there are QR codes in each location next to a symbol of signing hands.

While this tour is designed to be used independently, our staff and volunteers will be happy to help you get to the next stop of the tour if you are having any difficulties.

This tour has been made possible thanks to the funding from Arts Council England and the Friends of Salford Museums’ Association. We’d also like to thank Manchester Deaf Centre’s Wellbeing Group for all their support.
