Learn how use of spices during the winter months helped warm the body, soothe the mind and optimise sleep quality.
Join Anna Fielding, our Sleeping Well project lead at Ordsall Hall, for this long form session dedicated to remaking Tudor and Stuart culinary sleep recipes.
Participants will operate their own hotplate stations and use ingredients including wheat, eggs and dairy products to explore early modern techniques. Vegan alternatives are available if required.
The length of this workshop allows for in-depth exploration and creativity, plus more time to look at the historical evidence behind our sleep project.
