Join Dr. Anna Fielding, our Sleeping Well project lead at Ordsall Hall, for this long form session dedicated to exploring the use of grains to aid in sleep.
In our last workshop of this programme, we will be preserving fruits from our orchard using various techniques from 16th and 17th century recipes.
Make jams, jellies, curds, sweets, and crystallised flowers! These skills would ensure a family like the Radclyffes of Ordsall would have sleepy ingredients to use throughout the winter and into the following spring.
The length of this workshop allows for in-depth exploration and creativity, plus more time to look at the historical evidence behind our sleep project.
FREE, booking required.
