We are currently looking at how we can make sure our schools programme can be delivered safely during the 2020/21 school year, and will update these web pages as soon as we can.

We can’t wait to see our lovely schools again soon and to work with teachers to deliver our fantastic learning sessions!

We would love to hear from teachers about how we can support you in the future – please take 5 minutes to complete a survey and get a 10% discount on your next educational booking with us. If you haven’t already, please join our mailing list to be the first to hear about new programmes and offers.

From Tudor feasts to Victorian washdays, exquisite paintings to industrial history, Salford’s Museums are a great starting point for inspiring young minds to grow.

Our Learning Team provides school visits for Key Stage 1 and 2, as well as for Key Stage 3 and above. We also offer downloadable resources to support classroom learning, and sessions for ESOL groups. Our Teacher Forum enables learning professionals to engage with shaping the museums’ learning offer.

Learning Outside The Classroom Quality Badge

Ordsall Hall and Salford Museum & Art Gallery have been awarded a Learning Outside The Classroom Quality Badge which is a nationally indicator of good quality educational provision.

Ordsall Hall is also an approved centre for delivery of the Royal Horticultural Society qualifications which were introduced in January 2015.

“We recently visited your hall for the day. The children had a wonderful day that they wanted me to pass on their thank you letters. The two staff who led us were excellent and the whole trip we thought was top class! I would not hesitate to recommend your hall to other teachers and we look forward to visiting you again!”
