Tudor Europe was a society built on extreme religious beliefs, superstition and a fear of the unknown. Explore Ordsall Hall’s history of witchcraft and superstition with one of our tour guides, as we highlight the Hall’s many protective marks carved into the building walls and windows and learn more about how Tudor people protected themselves from dark spirits with symbols, spells and set religious practices.
