Join Stitched Up for an engaging session exploring the impact of clothing and textiles on the climate.
After a whistlestop tour of how the textile industry has effected the climate, we’ll dive straight into exploring the properties of different textiles that typically get sent to landfill. We will then look at some great examples of community-level textile reuse and repurposing.
Choosing a few materials as a starting point, participants will then work together in small teams to put forward the best idea for repurposing or reusing these materials within our communities, and look at how some of these ideas could be put into action.
Suitable for ages 16+.
£5 per person. Booking required.
This event is part of a four-week workshop series hosted by Stitched Up, a local not-for-profit co-operative inspiring others to take action on sustainable fashion. View Stitched Up x Ordsall Hall workshop series →
